♥wedding day (Tuesday, December 12, 2006 / 4:04 pm)
9-12-2006the wedding day for my 'not-close-at-all' cousin.
went to chong pang early in the morning wif mum
to see if i could get myself a black skirt to go along my black top
for the dinner.
wanted to get a brand new dress initially,
but attempts made on last thur failed terribly
n out of sudden, i realised that dere's no pt spending bomb
in getting a new one for a wedding dinner like this.
all i need to do is to look presentable tt's all...
so ultimately,
i managed to catch a good deal of black bubble skirt
at only $10.
nevertheless, it was definitely worth for the trip.
i accompanied mum to get herself a pair of heels too.
in the afternoon, we went to get our hair done.
actually i was more eager to get a hair cut than anything else.
my hair was totally unkempt.
but my hairdresser was so keen in perming my hair temporarily.
and the temp perm didn't last long.
it straightens very easily esp when i leaned against the taxi seat.
as mum n i suggested to get taxi dere
with dad thinking otherwise.
he got into a fit and grumbled when we met a traffic jam.
the whole journey to orchard lasted 1 hr instead of half an hour if we took train.
well....unexpected circumstances....
i just hope he does not grumble and nag as much...
poor taxi driver, having to stand his nonsense....
so we arrived at the supposed four or five * hotel....
n were ushered to the destined place
where it was hosting 2 weddings...
we stepped in and a wave of awkwardness washed upon us.
i mean how cum they dun put couples' wedding photos at the front
and how cum the groom doesn't stand near the door
can save us alot of trouble u noe...
especially i have no idea how they look.
n i hate it tt when we walked in,
everyone looked at us with weird gazes...
as in 'how cum u r here' tt kind of look
before i knew it, the groom was in front of me
and i have no idea.
he looks super uncomfortable wif us.
keep saying 'wait arh, i get my father to come!'
wad the hell!!!!
the best qns came when mum asked ' r u yi kiang( the groom) or .....'
hahaha...
i wanted to laugh my head off...
but all right, it's understandable...
during the wedding dinner,
we were assigned to sit at one exactly under the screen.
we ended up tilting our heads in an awkward obtuse angle
upon tryin to look at the screen
well the whole layout is bad, i have to say it.
or maybe simply we are so unimportant that we have to sit there.
initially, there seems to be insufficent seats.
coz when shan they all came, my other cousin and his gf have to move away.
n even have to add in 1 additional seat for er jiu...
well , luckily he was still given the host's seat.
anyway next year will be his real turn in hosting le...
hope tt will be a far more exciting wan...
coz we r closer to them in terms of kinship...
though we always din tok to tt ger.
but it doesn't make a difference...
coz THE BRIDE OF TT DAY DIN EVEN SAY HI OR WAD LOR.
i bet she din even noe such aunt of her husband ever exist sia.
the service at tt hotel was not as good as we expected...
maybe we wanted it to be top class service since it is a top class hotel.
but i love the abalone soup....
wanted to take pics of the food,
but hunger overwhelmed everything else.
we conducted self-entertaining fun by taking photos...
wif shan, ting n qi...
oya, n shan n i kept chatting till other people (aunt) complains...
after our heart to heart talks,
i still hold onto the belief tt guys r jerks...
so.....looking forward to next year's wedding....
