hortpark's inaugural cermony (Saturday, May 10, 2008 / 6:45 pm)

This is my first involvement in an outdoor event organized by Npark.
As mentioned in the earlier entry, I was pretty excited as I wanted very much to get a feel of the operations of a big event.

I wasn't assigned a big role as I only joined the company for 2 days, so I made the effort to stay observant and learn as much as I could. Overall, it didn't disappoint me. It was indeed an eye-opener.

To top up my experience of the day,
I had the chance to walk the henderson wave and the alexandra arch with the crowd back to hortpark.

There was a heavy downpour so while I was walking, I kope the cap from the goodie bag and my colleague's file to at least keep my head dry as I dun have the poncho with me.

Pictures taken were not very spectacular even though, the scenery was beautiful there because my hp camera was only 3.2 mega pixels and it was raining. So they were abit blur.

I miss my digital camera...

-henderson waves-
This is Singapore's highest pedestrian bridge, at a height of 36m

the wind was so strong that I was afraid that my cap would be blown off. :)

After the 45 minutes of walk, I was back at hortpark. I managed to stroll around to take pictures because work was more or less done. Nevertheless, I need to stay clear of populated areas to give way to media. Hence, I could only stay quite behind to view the official opening.

hortpark's silver garden, the lawn looks comfortable and nice that could tempt one to run barefooted across or lie there with a book to read in the most natural environment.

before I went off, my newly acquainted friend and I went to the kids' corner to revive the nostalgic memories of art-n-craft session.

i was pretty bad at it anyway, here's our 'masterpiece'.

here are some pictures I took when I had the free time...

Hortpark (short form of horticulture park) has 20 themed gardens but I din managed to walk through them to take a look, because I was too exhausted and really needed a sleep.

I'm getting excited for more upcoming events I would be exposed to in this internship.
