some thoughts to end my 3 mths holidays (Tuesday, August 12, 2008 / 4:10 pm)

I bid farewell to my 3 months internship at NParks last Thursday. Throughout these 3 months, there had been surprises, great learning opportunities but also some distress and disappointing moments.

There's no so-called flawless experience, so at the end of the day, it really boils down to what I have brought back along with me and what I have learnt from them. Especially, I always believe that everything happens for a reason and I'm also not someone who regret my decision. So, I'm really glad that I chose to intern rather than attending my summer school at Hong Kong Uni.

Moving on, an outing wif my fellow MFGG Alumni marked the close of my 3 months holidays.

Last Saturday, National Day 9th Aug, we went up to the Southern Ridges from Harbourfront MRT station. Heaving the sun with me were Andreas, Peiwen, Jieying, Putri, Edith, Weiyi and my dear sister...
I went there for quite a few times but the scenery failed to bore me because of the different company I had for this round.

Picture taken before we started our hike. Andreas predicted that the hike would exhaust everyone out, so she wanted a 'before' shot where everyone was still hyped up and energetic.

I was actually pretty amazed at how enthusiatic Singaporeans are in hiking. There were so many people walking Southern Ridges in that early morning. Be it, up on the Henderson Wave or the HortPark, they were all packed with enthusiasts. Hence, many fellow Singaporeans appeared in some of our pictures taken at the significant spots.

And I was feeling really happy and cheerful the whole day. It seems like the sky was 'bluer' and the morning was more beautiful than ever because their smiles and laughs simply brighten up my day.

Stunts by Andreas and Peiwen... I guess they are pretty hooked up with the new structure of the bridge.

Andreas was so patriotic that she brought those stick-ons tatoo. Well, crazy people like us put them onto our face, and try to convince ourselves that we are at the National Day Parade.

Tingting wanted to take a jumping shot, so putri was so kind to accompany her. Apparently, most of us were quite bad in capturing their jump shots so they had to keep doing over and over again. Till Jieying made it!!!! And I took down the victorious moment when the shot is finally nicely done.

*Jieying, if you happen to see my blog, please send me that picture, coz my sis would love to have it!*

I really wish to upload all of the pictures here, but due to time and space constraints, I only uploaded them into my facebook.

We ended the outing wif a treat at Sushi Tei. The chawanmushi is definitely one of my faves...

Now, embarking on my new academic year. I guess this is going to be my last year at NUS, unless unexpected miracles do come along the way. Suddenly, I wanted to fill it with lots of activities while I still have the liberty time of a student's life.

Japan Homestay, Overseas CIP, Grad trip...anyone?
