Japan Part II- Tokyo!!! (Tuesday, January 20, 2009 / 10:36 pm)

And here I am back to my Japan trip, yes after sooo much delay (becoz of ********, shall reveal after this entry)

I set off in the morning for Tokyo. The good sleep the night before was hard to keep me sleepy on Shinkansen. My eyes wondered off to the scenery, awaiting for the famous Mt Fuji that could appear along the way.

After 2 hrs of waiting, I was quite jaded and just when Jenice woke up and we engaged in the small chat, I suddenly exclaimed that I saw the snow mountain....lol

So here it goes the video....I can't take a pic of it coz the train was moving at an amazing speed. You can see how fast the train moves from this video :)

Headed to Asakusa shortly after we made arrangements for the hotel. The temple gave me a slightly different experience because it was really crowded and it seemed to be more like a daily temple frequented by the locals for praying rather than those divine shrines.

-The shopping street outside Asakusa

-Look! What we have found!!! Jen and I were super fascinated at this discovery. So Japanese has toto too!!! And it looks like it's going to have a big winning prize for the end of the year.

After Asakusa, we headed to Akibahara. Seriously, if I got big bucks and time there, I would comb down the electronic stores one by one. I still have a thing for those mobile phones there.

Then to Tokyo Tower... Well, I was looking forward to comparing the one I saw when I was in Paris because they bear too much resemblance with each other.

There were christmas decorations under the Tokyo Tower. As we had walked far before we reached the tower, we decided to take a little rest and took pictures around.

Tokyo Tower was celebrating its 50th anniversary.

I guess I was being a little childish here. Going into the small compartment of the train meant for small kids to play.. :P

We din pay to go up there to admire the scenery. I wasn't too keen as I guess the view would be pretty much the same with the one I got from my hotel room. However, we did go up to the shopping storeys of the Tower. There was a display of how Tokyo Tower was constructed over the years. They were pretty interesting to read.

And this is the tower model. I took one when I was in Paris too. lol

Now showing the Eiffel Tower pics when I was in Paris....

----------------back to the trip..........We walked back to the nearest train station, feeling weary. It was amazing that Jen and I met Hanwen and Ching Yee on our way back. So I suggested we should take a photo together!!! It's a small small world!!!! lol

And I like this pic alot!!! We were all smiling sooo happily!!! Fellow Singaporeans...duh...

tried to have an early night as the next day had to wake up early for Tokyo disneyland!!
