Japan Trip Part II- Kyoto (Friday, January 09, 2009 / 11:15 am)

It's time for me to update on my japan trip again because I have yet to show you the many beautiful places of Japan! :)

As I have too many photos to post, I can only restrict the entry to Kyoto. Nara, Osaka, and Himeji will have to wait for the next entry.

If you have studied JS1101E before, you probably will know what is this.
Yes, it's the famous Kinkakuji. It is made of shimmering gold!!!!

The blue sky is perfect for phototaking that day. Even though you could see sunlight (as reflected on my face...lol), kyoto was even colder that hiroshima at that time.

-people are throwing all the coins there, probably it's some wishing place.

Shortly after our trip to Kinkakuji, we took the bus to our next visiting spot- the famous Kiyomizudera Temple (Pure water temple). As the temple stands on the hills, we had to climb our way up to the steep slope which was terribly tiring for someone like me who hadn't close a wink for the whole night.

And this is me at the beginning of the slope.

Finally, around 10-min walk, we reached the place.

-I wanted to write one too but I had to pay around $14 or more for one tablet.-

-all you need to know of Kiyomizudera temple :)

-Jenice told me that the botak trees were full of sakura the last time she came here.

-the place where people pray for love, good marriage etc. And there were many myths games for people to seek their other counterpart -

-Jenice and I happen to have the same scarf!!!! I bought mine few years ago from Northpoint when I went Europe and she bot hers when she was in Hong Kong. such a coincidence.

-On our way out of the temple, I saw maiko coming up the steps. So I was screaming for Jenice to help me quickly take photos. After I helped Jenice to take hers too, people started to crowd around them to take photos. Thankfully, my eyes were sharp enough to spot them fast.

We went back to hotel after doing some rounds of shopping at the shopping street outside the temple. And I got my sushi lunch from the convenience store.
After this meal, I felt sick for the next few days and did not feel like taking any other food anymore.

In the hotel, we were watching this show. When I saw the girl in red, I feel that she looks like 九孔 and I kept laughing non-stop.

After that, we set out again to the Gion district. But I wasn't feeling well already and the gion district is so hard to find. Finally, by the time we got there, the sky was dark.

We roamed around for a while and headed back. It was a long day for me...
