♥Shan's 21st bday celebration (Tuesday, January 06, 2009 / 10:56 am)
Yesterday was Peishan's 21st birthday but my family decided to have an advance celebration for her on last Saturday.
Mummy and I went down to Orchard earlier afternoon to get Shan a present. Then, as planned we went down to Bugis Junction after that to meet Shan first to shop around for Chinese new year clothes.
However, we didn't get new year clothes. Instead, I bought myself an expensive Sembonia wallet of $56. It has been quite long since I last changed my wallet. I initially wanted to buy another but i dropped the idea as it was more expensive even with 20% discount. After we combed the whole building, we settled down at McDonalds where we waited for Papa and the rest to meet us. Meanwhile, mei mei and ivan went in search for a birthday cake.
While waiting for qi to reach our meeting place, we took photos with the christmas backdrop.

we had our dinner at Purvis Street where the famous hainanese zi char is. Dinner was delicious and well-worth the $$$. Papa was the sponsor for this dinner.
After our dinner, we walked all the way to esplanade where mei mei had suggested earlier on to have our birthday cake-cutting at the roof terrace.
This was the Strawberry Moosecake Ivan & mei mei bought for Shan. It was abit messy as Ivan had accidentally shook it while he was walking. The cake was just nice for 7 people to eat.
As there was no table, the cake was placed on top of its box instead. So it was a little shaky. Moreover, it was very windy that day. Ivan had a hard time lighting up the candles.
We started joking around that we were the backstage crew. Ivan was the lighting ic (responsible for the lights from the candles), Mei mei was the event and venue ic. She was the one who came up with the ideas and programmes. Qi was the main props ic and mummy was the support crew (because we took out umbrellas to shield the wind so that Ivan could light up the candles successfully). And me as the photographer and director(for filming).
We lighted the candles for more than 3 times. First was to take pictures of Shan with the lighted candles then the wind blew off. Next was when we sang her bday song and they were blown off halfway too. Lastly was when she made her wishes. lol.... it was indeed memorable for us.

As the programme planner, mei mei suggested to have a prize presentation ceremony (where we give the birthday presents to Peishan...lol)
Because it was a cranky idea, we kept laughing non-stop for our silly acts.
