I had a fun-filled day at the Singapore Zoo with my uni buddies. Taking a short break from the piles of assignments is nevertheless a wise choice to kick-start my recess week. (a tint of illusion is sometimes healthy ya...)
Woke up early to pack and get ready for the day as our plan was to visit the zoo and then picnic at Sentosa.
it has been ages since I last stepped into the zoo. the place was totally revamped and different from my memory and I like the present forestry setting with staff dressing in ranger attire.
fauz managed to get 4 free tics for us and here she was, buying the ticket for the 5th person.
we realised that fauzrin seemed to be unable to reach the counter without tip-toeing... lol (nobody dares to take this pic but me!! fauz dun kill me arh!!)
when we were taking this pic, the parrots were like shrieking at the top of their lungs. it seemed like they were affected by our intrudence into their territory for photos. they must be protesting...
we walked to the tiger trek and saw the famous white tigers of the zoo. there, we tried to figure out who was the culprit (Omar) for the
accident last year. apparently, it was really hard to differentiate them but we concluded that this tiger seemed to be the most highly suspicious. (judging from its mouth-opening expression when we were looking at those tigers)
Next, the pygmy hippo...
though pygmy hippos are of the smaller size of the species but they are still very heavy!
I was acting weird with the kangaroo...
but melody was even weirder than me!!! haha
And now, we are on the coolest jeep of Australia... :)
Yup, definitely was something quite out of place in zoo but I guess it was too all right for our cam-whore craze...
there was this Caucasian family who was behind us and was emulating us in taking photos for themselves too.
So the Australian theme= Kangaroos roaming around
at the primate kingdom...
meeting the elephants
the zebras that melody had no idea what they were...
the misty environment where I always wanted to reside in...
And the giraffes that I was crazy about...kept insisting that we must see them before we leave.
I simply love group pics!
We went for probably half of what's in Singapore zoo due to time constraint but Singapore zoo has already revealed so much more interesting sights...
After that, we headed to Harbourfront for the second part of our trip. However, the bad weather thwarted our plan and we were stranded in Vivocity instead.
We ended up having our mini picnic near the ticket purchasing area, ate our SUBWAY food and played cards there.
During one of our games, Jenice, Melody, Fauzrin and I got 21 pts exactly together!!!
And more cam-whore sessions while Nat went off to buy something
melody was so gigglish yesterday. can't behave well enough for photoshoot!
I must be feeling very tired , waiting for a proper pic ya... lol
probably explains the cranky behavior here...
When the rain subsided, we decided that it was too late to go to Sentosa already so we hanged around the sky garden for some more pics...
beautiful blue sky after the rain...
Look here...oh no, am I being soooo bossy here?
We were imagining ourselves to be in the waters of the bench in Sentosa...Fauzrin was seeking joy in her so-called deprived childhood...
A long day, staring at the cruise, no sunset though... Anyway I might be going to the cruise with my family in May!!!
To the rest of "wonder girls", (--->melody called one arh)
take pics from me when i'm online, coz hotmail refused let me attach the files.
and melody, (i still got one more zip file I haven send it to u...lol :P)
And yeah,
I SIMPLY HAD A GREAT DAY WITH YOU GUYS!!!
LET'S GO TO THE SENTOSA NEXT TIME!!!
