♥bye to 2009 (Thursday, December 31, 2009 / 12:23 pm)
2009 is drawing to its end in a day’s time and I guess, as usual, I’m going to do some reflections of the year and the resolutions I have made for 2009.
It has been a year with heaps of highs and lows. ‘Highs’ refer to the transition from a Student to an unemployed person to a working adult with no studying burdens whereas ‘Lows’ refer to the inert position and development in the career prospects.
Even though I have gotten a permanent job offer from one of the upcoming prestigious companies as early as July, till now I’m still stuck with my temporary full time job and awaiting more news from the permanent job.
I’m earning a decent salary now but I feel that my mind is deteriorating each day with the job scoop I’m stuck at. I’m spending good quality time with friends and I made an effort to turn up for every outing that is planned.
What had happened in 2009….
1.I directed and filmed my first documentary, edited and scripted it all by myself.
2.I bade NUS farewell and graduated successfully in Jul (though with grades that disappoints me)
3.I realised I visited many places of interest in Singapore…lol (Singapore Zoo, National Museum, Sentosa, Marina Barrage)
4.I went for our first family overseas trip (cruise to KL)
5.I went back to MF Girl Guides Unit for camps, voluntary activities and rekindled my passion in girl guides
6.I got my driving license at 1st attempt after 4 months of learning!
7.I spent more good quality time with my friends and I made effort to turn up for every outing planned rather than cooping myself at home. I began celebrating important dates that I have neglected since University (National Day, Christmas etc)
8.I think I met up with Andreas and Peiwen for sooo many times in the year. Lol
9.I played the most number times of badminton this year than in the last 10 years
10.I force myself to be sociable…--- I made new friends
11.I got addicted to Korean culture and took up Korean lessons
12.I travelled to HK with mummy and planned my trip within 3 weeks
Here are the resolutions for Year 2010…
1.Bring my whole family for an overseas trip to HK/Macau/Taiwan/Korea
2.Lose 4-5kg
3.Exercise more, learn to play tennis properly
4.Master Korean, able to speak fluently
5.Take JLPT3 at the end of the year
6.Find my MR. RIGHT (aiya, someone asked me to put this as one of my resolutions, things cannot be forced okay!)
7.Get my first LV/Chanel/Coach bag/wallet
8.Be at least one of the most outstanding employees in my department (for my perm job)
I love 2009, hopefully I will love 2010 even more!!!
Goodbye 2009, and welcome 2010...
