The Cantonese Land III-it's the time in fantasy again! (Monday, December 14, 2009 / 10:02 am)

Day 3

Disney time!

It was mummy’s first trip to Disneyland. I was actually praying hard that it would not be as crowded as the one I went last time(Tokyo Disneyland).

Nevertheless, this time, it was packed with Ah Tiongs instead. >.<

Hong Kong Disneyland was relatively small as compared to the Toyko one but still, I didn’t manage to comb the whole park.

Tickets were more interesting in HK.

they actually have this platform doors operating in HK already! S'pore copycat!!!

We took MTR to Lai King and changed to the disney train at Sunny Bay... It was very convenient.

Hong Kong disneyland, here we are!!!

It’s the festive seasons-Christmas! Characters were dressed for Christmas.

What is so different in HK Disneyland is that to take photographs with the characters, you have to queue!
There are staffs that are stationed there to help you take photos with the characters as well the professional photographers (so that you will buy from them)
I sort of prefer this rather than in Tokyo where you have to sort of ‘snatch’ for them to take pictures with.

Queuing for the rest of the characters was pretty fast except for the Christmas Mickey and Minnie mouse.

And the usual ones without festive costumes...

With the princesses...managed to catch Cinderella and Belle only. Mummy was disappointed as she wanted to take with Snow White... I din find Tigger or Piglet this time too...

We took more pictures with the Sleeping Beauty Castle....

Here's my lunch... It wasn't that expensive but the food tasted abit salty. The setting of the restaurant was pretty as there were figurines of princes and princesses everywhere.

Some of the merchandise...

We went for Winnie the Pooh rides, Cinderella Carassouel, Boat Ride at the Small World, watched the Golden Mickey Mouse show, took more photos and shopped around.

Back in Tokyo Disneyland that time, I din take pics of the Winnie the Pooh rides because it was not allowed.

At HK Disney, I think it was not allowed too but there wasn't any visible sign to indicate photography is forbidded so I thick-skinned abit and took many photos inside WITH FLASH....ya, inconsiderate just for once...

at the small world....

There is another vast contrast between Hong Kong and Tokyo Disneyland.

Tokyo Disneyland has amazing parade shows. They have one in the afternoon and another one in the evening. There were lots of characters involved, the parade was long and the carriages were beautifully decorated. And it would be huge waste if you miss out there.

On the other hand, Hong Kong Disneyland has only 1 parade. It was only 15-20 minutes. And it looked kind of low budget. The only carriages I found exquisitely decorated were the one for Snow White and Sleeping beauty, and the one for Mickey Mouse and family. And there was no Winnie the Pooh and family in the Parade at all!!!!

I felt so disappointed after watching the Parade.

-ah tiongs galore-

-the parade started and here was one of the dancers, I think she looks like Patrica Mok...lol

-the most terrible carriage in the parade...

-the better ones...

However, I wasn’t going to denounce Hong Kong Disneyland because I think I know where the budget goes when night-time came.

For Christmas celebration, they had this special Christmas Lighting and Carol followed by fake snowing.

It was snowing for the whole night till the park closes.

It was actually quite beautiful if you were there to see the whole snowing scene from far.

Additionally, there had this fantastic firework that lasted for around 10 minutes? The firework was so much more beautiful than the one I saw at Tokyo. It was like this is the whole selling point for Hong Kong Disneyland lor. I snapped many many pictures of the fireworks. It’s the best firework I have seen!!!

I'm pretty pleased with my camera this time...
-our lightsticks-

-the sleeping beauty castle at night, awaiting for the fireworks!-

Bought only a Mickey bag handbag and a magnetic photoframe. I didn’t want to spend too much on Disneyland because I bought A LOT (for myself and others)last year at Tokyo Disneyland.
