♥saying bye to RP (Thursday, February 18, 2010 / 12:08 pm)
I'm back from Chinese New Year celebration. It's the 2nd day of my break and I am feeling bored already. lol
So I officially brought an end to my 6 mths of work at RP last Friday. 6 mths flew by realli fast. It seems yesterday that I headed to Recruit Express to sign up for temp position after I signed EA with Sands and then sitting in front of Yin Hong for an interview. I still remember how she told me that my work could involve lots of EXCEL calculations and how she doesn't want a temp who just sit around and do simple filing.
And of course, I remember my dynamic entrance into RP that pissed OSC on my first day of work. I guess many did not know that on my first day of work at RP, OSC mistook me as the perm staff reporting for work and they put me into the heritage room to get my own RP polo tee and jacket. To think, I kept emphasizing to this OSC guy that I'm only a temp and all I need to do is to report to my supervisor by the name of Yin Hong but he kept insisting that my name is Miranda and I need to sit through the RP presentation for New Staff. So after half an hour, it seems like tt someone got enlightened suddenly and finally deemed that I'm only a TEMP STAFF. (or maybe Yin Hong was telling OSC that she was expecting a temp). Only then, I exited the Heritage Room, obviously unhappy at the stupidity OSC has caused me. And worse, OSC told Yin Hong tt I only came to their counter at 9am. (when I reached OSC at 8.15am lah!!!)
When one of the DAEF temps fetched me up to ORG, YH began questioning me why I report work at 9am. I told her truthfully and so, YH feedback to OSC and there was a hoo-ha over it as OSC blamed YH for not informing them that there's a new temp coming etc. I guess this marks the beginning of our hatred for each other (OSC & DAEF). lol. or maybe the hatred was there and it sorts of deepens further.
For this 6 mths, I learnt alot especially in Excel Skills!!! I saw batches and batches of temps going in and out of ORG. Some of them are worthy to be good friends while some are hi, bye friends. There are times when I hated reporting for work everyday because the other co-partners are simply too terrible to work with. Of course, there are some whom I'm glad to meet and made my life at RP so much fun and enriching.
