♥spending my off days well (Monday, August 02, 2010 / 1:02 pm)
Sometimes, it's really good to have your off days on weekdays instead of weekends because places are not as crowded if you want to get some errands done or catching movies...
I have been spending recent off days on Singapore Garden Festival, Robbinsons shopping, MBS skypark and the movie: Inception.
When I visited SGF 2010, I couldn't help but exclaim how fast the time realli flies. 2 years ago, I was an intern for SGF 2008, helping out with the media kits, and taking pic with the actress, Zhou Xun (lol). 2 years later, I have already graduated and now working. It's really scary especially these few weeks, many of my friends who were taking honours are attending their convocation and probably joining me soon in the working world. I couldn't help by making a little comparison between them and myself, thinking if I have been living a good one-year and my achievement within this one year.
And again, the topic of 'my job' will revert. Sigh...I don't know how long I can persist on with my job, the working shift etc. The pay is damn attractive but the job scoop and the people sux. Even though I have just commented that off days on weekdays can be pretty good, that's because Hunny is now having holidays so he could afford to spend his weekdays with me.
With him resuming school in September, my sister in Canada, and my friends all working on weekdays, off days on weekdays will be totally irrelevant to me....sigh...
Whatever it is, I have applied for 7 days off in December and booked tickets to HK with my parents....Going to take step by step...will see how it goes for my work...
Last Tuesday, I went to MBS skypark with Hunny since my free tickets were expiring in 2 days'time.
Because those tickets were complimentary, I got to visit it before 4pm which makes the whole visit super hot and humid. For your information, 1 skypark ticket costs 20 bucks which I find it very expensive.
Anyway, we illegally brought up our foldable tripod stand for the day because we were always not satisfied with the photos that passerbys help us take. Later on, we were stopped by the security guard but that was only after we took many many pretty pictures already. :)
It's probably not a very good idea to go up to the skypark in the noon albeit the pictures turn out quite nice. I almost had heatstroke and after when I headed to the movie theater for Inception, I went home feeling sick and had a fever that night. I took MC the next day....lol
For those who haven't caught Inception, you got to do so...It's a very intriguing movie. Thumbs up for that although I have many questions unanswered in the movie...haha...
I'm looking forward to this weekend. Got a couple of gatherings and National Day picnic to attend. And starting frm Wednesday, it's my favourite morning shift!!!
