MC & doctor visit (Tuesday, September 21, 2010 / 10:27 pm)

I got myself an MC today. And it was a hard-earned one because there were a couple of hiccups along the way.

For those who dunno, I need to get MC under a clinic that has registered with the insurance purchased by my company in order for my MC to be a valid one.

Hence, I got to forgo seeing my usual family doctor, Jasmine who was a very friendly and approachable doctor and whom I like very much and started going to those that I am not familiar with.

After taking 2 MCs from XX clinic where most of the time, I feel like I owe the doctor $$$ whenever I'm there, I decided to try another new one across my home today.

1st hiccup: I reached the clinic at 9.30am and was esctatic that there were only 2 people, thinking that I wouldn't have to wait. However, the receptionist told me that I had to make appointment to see the doctor and 3.20pm was the next possible slot for me to have the consultation. This was such an unusual encounter for me. Nevertheless, I made the appointment but thinking that I should head to another one so that I do not have to wait till afternoon.

Therefore, I set off to another clinic which was located quite far from my home. I had to go all the way opposite Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital for the clinic. So I heaved the scorching sun and made my way there.

2nd hiccup: When I reached there, I was horrified that the clinic was closed from 8 Sep to 25 Sep!! Omg!!!

So, bo bian, I went back home.

By that time, it was 10.30am and I thought I should catch a nap to regain my energy.

3rd hiccup: The receptionist at the first clinic called me at 11am and asked me to go down as soon as possible because there is a vacant slot (probably some people couldn't wait too)
I hurried to wash up abit and went down.

All right, the doctor was a very warm man. One of the rare doctors beside Dr. Jasmine who would smile all the way the minute I stepped into the room till I headed out. That probably explains why there is a need to make appointment.

And he gave me a very old school MC which I found it so nostalgic.

-------------------so that closes my 'so-called doctor visit'-------------------------------
P.S I took the MC so that I could rest and sent my resumes (lol)

Well...moving on....

I went for a romantic stay with my hunny at Sands few weeks ago and I enjoyed it tremendously.

The only sad thing is that my hotel keycard can bring 4 guests up to the skypark that night and none of our friends could make it as it was very last minute and all of them had plans on the public holiday. As a result, they were wasted away.

Sianz to the max. That would mean $80 wasted.
At night, we took a stroll along the Helix bridge and took lots of photos with the night scenery.

We went to the skypool for a swim once during night and another time the next day at 7am to watch sunrise!!
