♥Once again, the Cantonese Land (Sunday, December 26, 2010 / 11:53 am)
EPISODE 1:
SETTING OFF
My family took SQ flight this time round to HK and we checked in pretty early at T3. As it is a new terminal, I have never flown off from there and that day, I was thrilled to 'visit' its luxurious spacious public toilet. We took a few pics with the Xmas decorations there too.

TOUCHING GROUND
When we landed at 17:20, the sun had already set down and it was pretty dark. We headed straight to the ticketing counter at the bus terminus and waited almost 20mins for bus A21 to arrive. I was quite pleased with myself that I didn't forget the way to the bus terminus. :)

We alighted safely at the 10th stop and headed our way to Nathan Hotel. We were glad that the check-in was short and efficient. Papa was quite excited to see 3 beds in the room
(though I have told him long ago that I booked a rm with 3 beds) and kept commenting that the room was big.
Mummy, on the other hand, wasn't too pleased because the one that we stayed as last year was way bigger than the current one. Morever, last year, we had a room facing the city whereas this year, it's facing a shabby-looking hostel and we have to draw curtains all the time.
FIRST MEAL
I didn't take pictures of our first dinner @ HK because the dishes were terrible. Initially, I wanted to dine at Tao Heung, which is my favourite restaurant next to our hotel but there was a long queue and my parents didn't want to wait. Hence, we walked into some of their small lanes and spotted this Hakka eatery with set meal of chicken, soup, spinach, tofu and kou rou. The dishes were all very oily and too big a share for a company of 3 pax only. We ended up wasting most of them and were even upset that the bill came up to 370hkd (equivalent to $60). Mummy was extremely upset with the food and herself because she was the one who insisted to go to the Hakka eatery.
After the meal, we set off to Ladies Market.
HONGKONG NIGHT STREETS
By the time we reached the streets, it was already 9pm. However, it seemed like the night life had just began because everywhere was packed with people and shops were bustling with business. As soon as we reached Ladies Market, Papa started buying his favourite collectibles-Magnets and later, I bought the go-HK-must-buys @ Sasa, mainly the beauty diary face masks, BB cream.
We went back at 11.30pm to rest for the next day.
